See the Pics Duchess Kate Took of Princess Charlotte on Her First Day of Nursery School
Back in September, we watched an adorably polite — yet slightly unsure — Prince George arrive for his first day at a new school. Today, it was Princess Charlotte’s turn, and the pics that her mom, Duchess Kate Middleton, took of the little girl are almost too cute to handle!
The royal family released a pair of images via Twitter today, saying, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning.”
The photos show the two-year-old posing on a set of steps and wearing a lovely scarlet-colored coat and matching Mary Janes, along with thick tights and a pink scarf to keep her warm in the cooler weather. She also has on a pink backpack that’s just the right size, and a red bow tying her bangs out of her smiling, rosy face.
In the first photo, she stands and holds on to the railing, flashing a sweet grin at the camera. In the second shot, she sits with her hands together on her lap while (again) melting our hearts with her doll-like face.
The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School.

“The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School,” Kensington Palace revealed in a second tweet. Given that Middleton is responsible for some of the best snaps of the younger generation of royals, we’re not surprised that she was the one who managed to capture the sweet moment with her toddler.
We just hope the princess was feeling as happy and confident as she looks when she walked through the school doors.
