What You Need to Know About PSWL — Proenza Schouler’s New Clothing Line
Wearing Proenza Schouler is a luxury that’s usually reserved only for the rich and famous, but now you no longer have to be an A-lister to get your hands on their coveted clothing and accessories. The New York-based fashion house has just launched a line of elevated streetwear called Proenza Schouler White Label, or PSWL, that aims to be more accessible to shoppers everywhere.
This concept of a secondary line isn’t a new one. The Row has a similar vision with Elizabeth and James, their line of more affordable, fashion-forward basics, and other designers have delved into the world of diffusion brands along the way. With PSWL, Proenza Schouler wanted to extend the reach of their designs beyond high-end fashion by creating a ready-to-wear collection of easy, casual pieces that would appeal to a wider range of customers.
The 45-piece collection features hoodies, tees, jeans, and jackets, and has already been seen on stars like Selena Gomez and Dakota Johnson. Items start at $195 for the PSWL Graphic T-Shirt and go up to $1,195 for the PSWL Anorak Coat, with plenty of options in between like the PSWL Cropped Flare Jeans ($290) and the slick PSWL Raincoat ($250). While these prices remain on the higher end of the spectrum, it’s still a lot more affordable than the brand’s main collection.
Needless to say, we’re super excited that this sought-after brand is branching out into more accessible collections. Now all we need is an H&M collab.
