When Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte Will Be Returning to Stores
Autumn is the season of back to school, fall fashion trends and one more (sweet and delicious) thing. While the first official day of fall according to the Farmer’s Almanac is September 23 this year, true PSL-lovers mark it by the return of our drink of choice on the Starbucks menu. (PSL-haters can scatter. There’s no room for you here.) This fall, you’re going to find that your PSL isn’t quite like it was before. IT’S GOING TO BE BETTER.
While all the old suspects will be back, like cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and creamy milk, there’s going to be a new addition (and a couple of subtractions) that will get fans stoked. Starbucks announced Monday via their blog that they’re losing the caramel coloring and adding real pumpkin puree to their iconic drink. According to CNN, the coffee company is also making the move to eliminate “artificial flavors” from the beloved latte.
In between a yoga retreat and a vision quest, I made a big decision to use real pumpkin. My dad is so proud. https://t.co/2gmKiRAkhe

The official Pumpkin Spice Latte’s account also wrote about the major change in this hilarious tweet. If you don’t follow @TheRealPSL yet, you should. It’s a gas. There’s no word yet on when the official launch date of the new and improved pumpkin spice latte, but we know last year, it made its return to menus on September 2. We’re guessing we’ll see its first appearance a little sooner than that in 2015.
UPDATE: @TheRealPSL will be on vacay til September… Can we count on you 9/1, PSL?! <3 <3 <3
@BritandCo I still have some vacation hours to use up in August but I'll be back in September :)
