Queer Eye’s Fab Five Are Very Much Here for Pal Pete Davidson’s Engagement to Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s whirlwind romance resulted in an engagement just weeks after they began dating, and while it may seem like they’re moving fast, they certainly have the support of the always-positive Queer Eye Fab Five, who have become friendly with Davidson.
The five men — Tan France, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, Jonathan Van Ness, and Antoni Porowski — appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, and when a caller asked how they felt about the expedited engagement, there was no hesitation.
“I’m very, very happy for them. I couldn’t be more happy,” style expert France said. “I think if anybody finds love, that’s amazing.”
France and Davidson have developed a close friendship in recent months, thanks in part to the makeover shopping trip they took together. And France said he knew he wanted to marry his husband, Rob, within five days of knowing him, and they’ve now been together for 10 years. “So who knows?” he mused.
Culture expert Brown said that he texted Davidson a congratulations when the engagement rumors started earlier this month, but that he unfortunately never got the confirmation he was looking for. “I texted him immediately and was like, ‘Hey! Did you get engaged? Oh my gosh, congratulations! I wanna send a gift!'” he said. “But I was really being nosy and he didn’t text me back.”
Porowski, who is in a long-term relationship of seven years, said that when it feels right, you have to just go for it. “Sometimes, you just know,” he said.
True to form for the Fab Five to be judgment-free and fully supportive!
