Queer Eye’s Tom Jackson and His Ex-Wife Abby Are Engaged!
Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot has been a smash hit with viewers and critics alike, and now one of the show’s standout stories has (another!) happy ending. Tom Jackson and his ex-wife Abby have revealed they’re giving love another shot and are engaged to be re-married.
“It’s official, Abby and I are engaged,” Jackson tweeted along with a photo of him and his bride-to-be. “What a Netflix special [that] would be. If the Fab 5 planned and attended our wedding!!!!!!!!!”
Jackson starred in the first episode of the new Queer Eye series, during which he detailed the end of his marriage to Abby. The exes reunited for a couple of dates on the show, but Jackson later shared — again via Twitter — that things had not worked out, even though he still considered Abby the love of his life. Then, earlier this month, the beloved bearded truck driver posted another update saying they had reunited — this time seemingly for good.
Jackson excitedly shared a shot of his fiancée’s ring, but didn’t provide any details on the proposal. He did, however, suggest that of the Fab 5 expert panel, Bobby Berk could be his best man, and the show’s other stars — Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness and Tan France — could be his groomsmen.
“Everyone is welcome to come to our wedding. I’m praying that the Fab 5 can find time in their busy schedule to come,” he tweeted to his followers, adding that his grandson Chandler would be the ring bearer.
Fans immediately started calling for the wedding to be filmed for a Netflix special. And while most of Jackson’s followers were ecstatic for the rekindled romance, others were (jokingly — we think) disappointed, since it meant that the fan-favorite contestant was no longer an eligible bachelor for their own mothers.
Congrats to Tom and Abby!
