Rachel Lindsay’s Bachelorette Premiere Gown Weighed 30 Freakin’ Pounds
The Bachelorette has had quite the dramatic kickoff — and we’re not just talking about the fellas. To meet her now fiancé — along with the 30 other guys that didn’t quite make the cut — Rachel Lindsay chose a stunning floor-length Randi Rham Lolita rose gown with a mini mermaid train.
The dress is encrusted with hand-sewn white beading and Swarovski crystals that reportedly took more than 150 hours to make, but it wasn’t just the gown’s aesthetic that had our jaws on the floor. According to InStyle, this number weighed in at more than 30 pounds.
The designer, who also dressed Raven Gates for the finale of last season’s The Bachelor, spoke with InStyle to explain how Lindsay came to choose “the one.” “Rachel picked this look from hundreds of dresses. It made her feel extra special,” Rahm said. “Special enough to wear to meet the man that could potentially be her future husband.” Looks like it did the trick!

Though the dress is currently unavailable to the public, Rahm says she plans to make a more affordable version of it (currently unavailable) next season. “Whenever we see that people have a strong reaction to one of our designs, we try to take the essence of it and make it at an affordable price point,” she told the outlet.
We’ll be eagerly awaiting its drop, and in the meantime, we’ll be keeping an eye out for all the other amazing looks Lindsay is sure to don this season.
