OMG: You Can Now Attend Hogwarts IRL
Those magical words, “Yer a wizard, Harry,” changed the life not just of one boy with a lightning-bolt scar, but also of young people worldwide who fell in love with the story of The Boy Who Lived. And now, those dreams you’ve been harboring of maybe actually being a wizard could come true.
Next April, the Czocha College of Wizardry is opening, and it’s basically Hogwarts in real life, if Hogwarts trained muggles (non-magical folk for those of you not in the know) and was in Poland instead of England.
Okay okay, so it’s not actually the real Hogwarts of J.K. Rowling’s fantasy novels, but it is an extremely elaborate Harry Potter live-action roleplaying game where participants can take classes, live in dorms, play quidditch and perhaps encounter some evil to defeat on their own, as this video seems to hint.
The first larping session will be taking place at Czocha on April 16, 2015, so there’s still a long way to go until you and your friends can join your house. And while you can’t register yet, you can check out the College of Wizardy’s website for updates and more information as it becomes available.
Does this fulfill your dreams of finally becoming a wizard? Will you be attending this magical event? Tell us in the comments below.
