This Designer’s Garment District Office Is a Fashion Girl’s Dream
No one who has encountered her eponymous label should be surprised that fashion-world favorite Rebecca Taylor has an absolutely stunning office and showroom in New York City’s Garment District. But before it was a wonderland of on-trend pinks, well-placed sheepskin throws, and mid-century-inspired office chairs, the space was kind of… sparse. Homepolish‘s Tali Roth helped the designer realize her dream of having an office that not only reflected her brand but also could serve as a constant source of inspiration.
The new office is worthy of the label that inhabits it thanks to an infusion of color, pattern, and more than a little cool-girl charm. True to the brand’s form, the office feels feminine without ever appearing stuffy. Roth’s designs for the space drew heavily from Taylor’s own designs for inspiration. (As a former clothing designer herself, Roth had a unique perspective on how to make the looks translate.)
The hand-painted geometric pattern on the floor strikes just the right balance. It brings a fresh, modern feeling to the space without overpowering it or clashing with the other prints in the room. Best of all, you can easily replicate this look at home, as long as you have painter’s tape and some patience.
Artful florals on the wall are a nod to one of the label’s go-to motifs, while the dark background gives the design a more posh, grown-up feel.
Pure print-on-print-on-print perfection, if you ask us.
It’s official: This space has us in the mood for a shopping spree!
