Woo Your Boo on Valentine’s Day With This Red Wine Pasta Recipe
Are you ready to amp up the romance this Valentine’s Day? GOOD, because we’ve got the perfect recipe to make for your V-Day dinner. We spotted this Red Wine Spaghetti situation on Food&Wine a while back and have been waiting for the perfect occasion to put our own spin on it. For real, what better way to celebrate your boo/bae/bff than with red wine and pasta? Read on for the super simple recipe!
Ingredients:
– 5 cups water
– 2 bottles dry red wine
– 1 pound spaghetti
– 1/3 cup olive oil
– 8 garlic cloves
– salt and pepper, to taste
– Parmesan cheese
– Romano cheese
– fresh basil
Instructions:
1. Bring water and 1 3/4 bottles of red wine to a boil in a large pot. Add the spaghetti and cook for 9 minutes, until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Mince garlic. Add to the pan and saute for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Add pasta and remaining wine to the pan. Toss to combine. Add grated Parmesan and Romano (the more, the better!). Top with fresh basil. Enjoy!
