Reese Witherspoon’s Incredibly Heartfelt Gift to Daughter Ava on Her 18th Birthday Will Make You Cry
We already knew Reese Witherspoon and daughter Ava Phillippe have what appears to be an incredible connection: How could they not when they look so much alike? But the gift the 41-year-old gave her gorgeous daughter for her big 18th birthday was so special, it actually made us tear up a bit.
Taking to Instagram, the proud mama posted the sweetest #TBT photo of the pair, telling her,”Your kindness, grace, intelligence and humor never cease to amaze me. I love you and your HUGE [heart] and I feel so lucky that I get to be your mom.”
And that’s not all. As Phillippe herself shared on her own page, the Home Again star also had an incredible gift for her daughter that she’s been planning for quite some time: since her birth, in fact.

Showing off a stack of letters, she revealed that unbeknownst to her, her mom has actually been writing her a note on her birthday for the past 18 years, all of which she was presented on her special day in a parcel tied up with a pretty pink bow. “[This] made me cry (hard) today, courtesy of my lovely mother.” WOW. Talk about a beautiful present that’s straight from the heart!

The newly minted adult was also showered with plenty of love from her dad, Ryan Phillippe, who shared 11 snaps of his eldest daughter on Instagram in a touching gallery he captioned, “Happy birthday, punk. i love you more than any strangers need read, but…You are the coolest, smartest, most beautiful daughter a father could ever have. And even though you’re no longer a child, you’ll always be my little girl. happy 18th, princess.” Awwww!
Happy birthday, Ava!
