After launching her online lifestyle brand Draper James back in May and making all of us go “I need this now!” and “I’m DIYing that bag STAT!” over every single piece of clothing, home decor and jewelry, the Southern-inspired company is making its way to a retail store. Moving fast there, Reese!
The actress and Southern gal shared details about the brick-and-mortar Draper James location with Garden and Gunthat will be opening in the fall (hold tight on an opening date, y’all!). The store that will house DJ’s “unapologetically pretty” pieces will be located in Nashville in a 3,000 square-foot space on “a busy, walking street in the 12 South neighborhood.” According to Rackedit’s designed to look like her Nashville home. So it’s basically the equivalent of an estate sale at Reese’s home?! Sold!
As for what she wants customers to feel when they’re shopping at the store? Reese shared with Garden and Gun that it’s inspired by her memories of growing up shopping with her mom. “I have so many memories as a kid of sitting [in a now-closed store called McClure’s] while my mom tried on clothes, running into everyone we knew while we shopped. I want to re-create that environment. A gathering spot where the mom brings kids in, and you drink sweet tea while you browse. That community. The charm of the old Southern department store feeling.”
We’re totally booking a trip to Nashville once the Draper James retail store opening date is announced!
