Two weeks ago we announced our first major Brit + Co. event, Re:Make Just in case you missed the announcement, here’s a quick recap: Re:Make is an event to celebrate and discuss how “making” has changed over the past few years, thanks to our trusty old friend, The Internet. On October 4th and 5th, you’ll have the chance to join us for makers’ workshops and inspirational discussions, while also getting to see, shop and even re-create the work of some of our very favorite artisans.

We couldn’t be more pumped to have such an amazing group of speakers, but we’ve also been planning a few other Re:Make surprises along the way. Our favorite way to throw a party is to DIY it, so we’re going to start sharing sneak peeks inside the planning, starting with the event invitation.
While online invitations can be lovely, who doesn’t love receiving a real package? So, we decided to combine the best of the digital and the analog by sending old school viewfinders as invitations. Yup, that’s right. Using Image3D we created custom viewfinders invitations for Re:Make. These are just a few of the pics we spotted on Instagram—we’re kind of obsessed.
The best part? You can make your own custom viewfinder using the Image3D reel building tool. Here’s how it works. Simply choose 7 photos, and upload them into then viewfinder tool. Then you get to choose your viewfinder color (red, please), and upload a logo or image for the center of the reel. Voilà! You’ve got a custom viewfinder headed your way.
