Rock Halloween With This Retro Devil Costume

Rock Halloween With This Retro Devil Costume

We are downright obsessed with Halloween at Brit + Co — we start planning for it in July! This year we got our creative juices flowing by putting a new spin on a classic devil to make a costume that’s equal parts simple and sinful. We started with wardrobe basics, then added key accessories for a greaser-meets-the-devil look that has tons of throwback appeal. Get ready: It’s time to serve up some *major* Sandy from Grease vibes.

You probably already have most of the foundation pieces for this costume in your closet. All you’ll need is a white T-shirt, blue jeans, boots, and a leather jacket. Boom.

Next up: the accessories that add that devilish flair. To make your horns, snag some vintage-inspired cat-eye glasses (we like these sunnies), black glitter foam paper, scissors, and a hot glue gun. Cut out the horns and glue them to the inside top of the sunglasses. Add a second pop of red with this neck scarf, tied in a loose knot around your neck.

To create the pitchfork, you’ll need a pencil, foam poster board, an X-Acto knife, red and black paint, and a paintbrush. Draw out the pitchfork (you can use a hard edge to get clean lines for the triangles). Using your X-Acto knife, cut out the pitchfork and paint it red and black. Once it dries, you’re all set for a night on the town.

Keep the retro feel going for your makeup to add the finishing touch. Add a cat eye and a bold red lip and you have all you need for a pitch(fork)-perfect look!
