Rihanna’s Latest Puma Collab Might Be Her Wackiest Masterpiece Yet
It hasn’t even been a month since her eighth album ANTI dropped to rave reviews, and less than a week after she cancelled her Grammys appearance for reported health reasons, but Rihanna is already back at it. Last night, RiRi posted a photo of her newest ultra-cool collab with sneaker and sportswear manufacturer PUMA, and it looks amazing.
The Fenty trainer, christened with Rihanna’s last name, is one part of the Fenty x PUMA collection that showed at New York Fashion Week just a few days ago. The sneaker will come in three colors — Red Alert, Whiteout, and Blackout, shown above — and features a stylishly long tongue and no laces. It’s the height (har har) of cool, downtown athleisure style. It’s also the first original design the music megastar has released, though a Rihanna x PUMA creeper ($120) was released last fall — and sold out almost immediately. In fact, all three colors are still sold out on the PUMA website.
If you can get your hands on a pair of Fentys after they’re released on Feb. 26, they will be the perfect complement to any gym or weekend or “I could work out in this but who am I kidding, it looks too good” outfit. Wear them around the house or out to a bar — wherever you are, these kicks will give you an aura of unflappable city chic.
