Ring in the New Year With a Classic Champagne Cocktail Recipe

Ring in the New Year With a Classic Champagne Cocktail Recipe

Whether or not you’re celebrating the new year, you can’t beat a classic Champagne cocktail. Dress it up with fancy bitters or keep it simple with a citrus twist — this boozy beverage will have all your guests convinced that you just came from bartending class. All you need are a few simple and fun ingredients and you’ll be set to pop bottles all night.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of your favorite Champagne (rosé works too!)
  • 1 bottle of your favorite bitters
  • sugar cubes
  • citrus peels or zest

Instructions:

1. First, start off by dropping one sugar cube in an empty Champagne glass.

2. Cover the sugar cube with three hearty splashes of the bitters.

3. Pour Champagne.

4. Top with a citrus twist.

Easy as 1, 2, 3.

Don’t forget to top it off!

Depending on your bitters, raspberries and blackberries are also a good add-in.

The bubblier, the better!

The sugar cube sweetens it lightly, and the lemon adds a nice, refreshing touch.
