More happy news for Riverdale fans! One day after the show won a whopping eight Teen Choice Awards — including Choice TV ‘Ship for #Bughead’s maybe-IRL couple Lili Reinhart (Betty) and Cole Sprouse (Jughead) — Tiera Skovbye, who plays Reinhart’s on-screen sister Polly, revealed that she is engaged to longtime boyfriend Jameson Parker.
Skovbye shared her happy news on Instagram and gave fans the rundown on her romantic proposal. “This weekend was something out of a dream,” she began. “The love of my life surprised the crap out of me and asked me to marry him in his childhood bedroom (not planned, I’m really hard to surprise).”
Adding to the celebration, the actress continued, “We got to spend the rest of the weekend hanging out on the lake with both of our families and it was absolutely wonderful. I’m over the [moon] happy.”
Skovbye shared a series of photos alongside the announcement, including one showing off her ring, one of the bride and groom-to-be looking generally overjoyed, one of them surrounded by their families, and one of them cuddling up on a water raft.
In addition to being a couple of two years, Skovbye and Parker are collaborators. The two recently wrapped a project they were working on together, the horror movie Summer of ’84, which Parker produced.
With all of the good news coming out of Riverdale, we’re tempted to say there’s something in the water, but we all know that can’t be what it is… (ahem, Jason Blossom!)
