‘Jersey Shore’ Star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Just Revealed His Baby Daughter’s Name
He may be back with his Jersey Shore friends on TV, but off-screen, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is adjusting to his new life as a dad. The reality star welcomed his first child, a daughter, with girlfriend Jen Harley earlier this month, and has just revealed the little one’s sweet name.
Little Ariana Sky came into the world in early April, and as Ortiz-Magro tells Us Weekly, he and Harley decided on the name as a couple — sort of. “When we first started dating in the beginning, we’d joke around saying, ‘What if we had a kid? It’d be crazy and good looking!'” he said. “And we’d say, ‘What would we name it?’ We joked that we liked Ariana.”
It might have started as a joke, but it quickly became a reality. After Harley found out she was expecting, the inside joke continued between the couple, and when they learned they were having a girl, that sealed the deal.
“When she found out she was pregnant, we looked at each other and we’re like, ‘Guess we’re naming the baby Ariana if it’s a girl.’ Next thing you know, we find out the gender and we’re like, ‘Guess so!'”
The couple first revealed they were expecting during the Christmas holidays in December. A few weeks later, they announced they would be having a girl.
“This is the face you make when pink feathers come out of the popped ballon, instead of blue!” Ortiz-Magro captioned a pic of him looking shocked, taken the moment he and Harley learned the baby’s sex during a reveal party at the PKWY Tavern in Las Vegas, Nevada. He used a string of hashtags to express his nerves, admitting that “#AMillionThingsWentThroughMyHead.”
Little Ariana Sky is the first child for Ortiz-Magro, and the second for Harley, who is already mom to an 11-year-old boy.
