Ryan Gosling (who had a hilarious reaction to #OscarsGate) may have appeared to be walking the red carpet alone at last night’s flub-filled event, squashing all hope that he would turn up as one of the evening’s hottest couples in a rare public outing with his love, Eva Mendes. As it turns out, Gosling DID bring a date, quickly sparking the internet’s intrigue.
Fans were quick to notice that Ryan Gosling had shown up with someone who was not, in fact, Eva Mendes, but they couldn’t quite figure out who she might be…

In a long golden gown that matched her long golden locks, a very special lady dazzled while sitting next to him, and lucky for you, we’ve already done the sleuthing to discover exactly who she is (and trust us when we say there’s no need to sound the alarm to Mendes).
The young lady in question would be Gosling’s sister, Mandi Gosling. Yep, the world famous, A-list actor brought his big sister to the Oscars. From the looks of things, she had a heck of a time while chatting up stars such as Justin Timberlake…
… and Viggo Mortensen…
And, natch, she also showed some love for her date, a man to whom she’s obviously close.
Honestly, could we love this fella any more? Nope, not likely.
