Ryan Gosling Was Totally Mom’d by Meryl Streep at the SAG Awards
We’re already well aware of how crush-worthy Ryan Gosling is (add in Ryan Reynolds and it’s pretty much a dream come true). We’ll also fully admit how much we adore the ever-amazing Meryl Streep. But put them together and what do you get? Well, one of the sweetest moments from last night’s SAG Awards, when Ryan was totally mom’d by Meryl.
While both stars were up for recognition at last night’s event — Meryl for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and Ryan for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture — neither went home with an award, but they did manage to give us one of the best moments of the night.
While greeting each other, Meryl may have first given Ryan a motherly kiss on the cheek (which is totally adorable in itself, BTW), but then, as they had a friendly little chat, she helped him out in a way that made us smile.
Obviously noticing that something was slightly off, Meryl reached over to help Ryan fix his bowtie. Yep, Ryan may have stylists and assistants and even his love, Eva Mendes, to help him prep for big Hollywood shindigs, but sometimes you still need “Mom” to step in to make things picture-perfect.
