Ryan Reynolds Reveals Competition Is Brewing Between His New Bestie Jake Gyllenhaal and Blake Lively
It’s hard to decide which celeb hottie is more crush-worthy: Ryan Reynolds or Jake Gyllenhaal. For those who simply can’t decide, they’ll thankfully soon be able to enjoy a movie starring both of the stars, as the duo will be appearing together in the upcoming film Life, and perhaps IRL too: Apparently, the two developed a friendship while filming that has sparked a (delicious) competition between Reynold’s new bestie and his wife, Blake Lively.
While sitting down for an interview with Good Morning America about his latest role, Reynolds admitted that stars don’t always stay connected to your co-stars in the way they think they will, saying, “I’ve done probably almost 50 movies in 24 years, and every time you work with people, you’re like, ‘I’m gonna hang out with this guy all the time!’ And you never see them again.” But when it comes to Jake Gyllenhaal, Reynolds says it’s the real deal. “We’re hanging out all the time!”
The Deadpool star gushed about his new buddy, saying, “[He’s] easily the most interesting actor working in Hollywood” and “one of the kindest guys I’ve ever met.” However, while the two fellas are getting along, there’s apparently some fierce competition brewing between Ryan Reynolds’ new bestie and Blake Lively.
He revealed, “Blake, my wife, is… very good at cooking, and Jake might be just a little bit better. It gets very competitive between those two.” We can imagine! Though, we can’t say we would mind witnessing (or tasting!) the results.
For now, you’ll be able to check out Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal’s bro-mance on screen when Life comes to theaters on Memorial Day.
