Sarah Jessica Parker Is Bringing Back SATC’s Carrie Bradshaw for a Mystery Project
The drama surrounding Sex and the City 3 led many to believe that we’d never see Carrie Bradshaw on screen again. But thanks to Sarah Jessica Parker, Carrie is back!
“My old friend,” the actress captioned an Instagram video that shows her walking along a city street in an outfit worthy of her fashion-savvy character, as the series’ theme song plays in the background. Those who adored Carrie’s bold style will swoon over the tulle skirt, gold lamé top, and white lace booties — not to mention that single fingerless glove and beaded bag.
Lest fans hope that this is a sign that the third movie has found a way to move ahead, though, Parker clarified that the character “is making a brief reappearance” as part of a partnership “with a great brand” in order to support “a cause we all care about.”
Although she didn’t provide any further info, the hashtag #PourItForward appears at the end of the video.
Parker played Carrie Bradshaw on HBO’s Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004, and then again in two movies in 2008 and 2010. Although the films (and especially the sequel) received mixed reviews, fans have held out hope that we’ll somehow see more of the beloved character. Now it looks like that wish will come true — in one way or another.
