Sarah Michelle Gellar and Her Daughter and the Spitting Image of Her and Her Mom
We get to see the immediate families of celebrities on a pretty regular basis — just like any mom or dad, they’re often prone to sharing snaps of their little ones in moments of utter adorableness on social media (just ask Nicole “Snooki” LaValle (who had to shut mommy shamers on her page down recently).
Only rarely do we get a glimpse of a star’s parents, however. Sarah Michelle Gellar just showed us what her own mother looks like for Mother’s Day, and believe us when we say, Ava Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon have NOTHING on these two.
“Believe it or not, this is not me and my daughter, it is my mom and me!!!” the Scooby Doo actress captioned the shot. She isn’t kidding — we’d have been none the wiser had she not clued us in to the difference (see the below shot of Sarah and daughter Charlotte Grace for proof).
She also took the opportunity to share one of her favorite quotes from Mama Gellar, saying, ‘Nothing is really ever lost, until a mother can’t find it.’ So true! Today to all the moms, step moms, foster moms, moms of animals — we all know every day is #mothersday but may as well take this one today for ourselves!”
So true, indeed, Sarah — Happy Mother’s Day to you and you lovely mom, as well!
