‘Scandal’ Teams Up With The Limited to Launch a New Clothing Line
Anyone who’s ever wanted to reach into the flat screen and snag Olivia Pope’s best looks can finally dress the part of TV’s most stylish #girlboss. Kerry Washington and Scandal costume designer Lyn Paolo have teamed up with The Limited for a show-inspired clothing line set to drop at the end of September.
Made for “real-life gladiators,” said Kerry in the press release, the work-ready collection will mimic her character’s confident and graceful style. The looks will include an array of Olivia Pope signature pieces, from wide-leg trousers and flowy blouses to structured outerwear in a neutral but feminine color palette, all priced from $49. “The collection is a nod to our devoted fans, to fans of fashion and to women everywhere who are inspired to boldly pursue their passions and look good while doing it.” Here, here!
Just like Olivia reworks wardrobe staples throughout the seasons of the show (that, gray belted Armani jacket <3), we can expect to mix and match the 42 pieces in the Scandal line to create countless lean in-able looks. Sketches of the collection reveal versatile pieces like slim, tailored trousers, a high-collar blazer and a chic trench coat that would make any professional feel like they’re ready to kick ass under pressure.
But this collab gets cooler. When the clothes land in your closet, they’ll also land in Olivia’s. Kerry Washington will actually model the Limited line on episodes of the show. As if you needed a reason to be any MORE excited about the premiere of season four this fall, now you get to see if you + O wore the exact same thing to work that day. We’re already kind of freaking.
Which Olivia Pope look do you like best? Which of her signature pieces are you hoping will end up in The Limited line? Tell us in the comments below.
