‘Bachelorette’ Star Hannah Brown Reveals What She’s Looking for in a Husband
Hannah Brown began her journey as the season 15 Bachelorette last week, when she met five of her potential suitors on the Bachelor season 23 finale. And now she’s opening up about what exactly she’ll be looking for as she gets to know the other two dozen or so men.
“Oh man, they gotta be good looking,” she joked on the Monday, March 18, episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, before outlining the more serious qualities she wants in a man.
“Just a good human. Good heart, kind, strong,” the 24-year-old former beauty pageant contestant continued. “But ultimately, I want at the end of this to know that they know me. And know every part of me. And not just some version of myself that I, like, package together and am like, ‘Do you like this?’ … But the good and the bad, and I want that in return.”
Brown was sent home by Colton Underwood in week seven of The Bachelor season 23. She told DeGeneres that, while she had ups and downs during the show, she grew enough to know that she’s looking for an engagement at the end of her time on The Bachelorette. “And at the end of the day, I want somebody who loves me and chooses me,” she said. “I’m ready for my moment.”
The new leading lady also told DeGeneres that she “like[s] people that look like they haven’t bathed, but smell like they have.” (Case in point: In a game of “Would You Rather,” she chose Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born character, Jackson Maine.) We’ll have to wait until May to see which, if any, of her potential suitors fits that bill.
The Bachelorette season 15 premieres Monday, May 13, on ABC.
