We Can’t Get Enough of Selena Gomez’s Creative New Teaser for Her Song “Fetish”
From what we can tell, Selena Gomez is ready for a new chapter not only in her love life with the Weeknd, but also in her music career. First, in May, Gomez began rolling out images on Instagram, many of which were made in collaboration with artist Petra Collins. Next, she released her catchy single “Bad Liar,” which samples Talking Heads’ 1977 track “Psycho Killer.” Then, she released a music video for the track, setting the story in the ’70s, and releasing a ton of ’70s-inspired merchandise along with it. Today, she revealed even more beautiful imagery — this time for her upcoming album’s titular track, “Fetish.”
Running at only 16 seconds, the teaser doesn’t give us a whole lot of information about the upcoming song, but what it does give us is hazy and beautiful. Gomez clearly put a lot of thought into how her visuals represent her music with this album. The track will be coming out on July 13, but we don’t have to wait until then to get more information. Some of the lyrics for “Fetish” have already been released on Genius, starting with Gomez simply repeating “Love / Love / Love / Love.” Read the rest of the lyrics below.
“You got a fetish for my love (love)
I push you out and you come right back (right back)
Don’t see a point in blaming (you-oo-oo-oo)
If I were you I’d do me (too-oo-oo-oo)
You got a fetish for my love (love)
I push you out and you come right back (right back)
Don’t see a point in blaming (you-oo-oo-oo)
If I were you I’d do me (too-oo-oo-oo)
You got a fetish for my love”
