Selena Gomez May Have Just Revealed Who “Bad Liar” Is About
When Selena Gomez dropped her latest track “Bad Liar” a few weeks ago, we were all wondering who or what the song was about. Though her relationship with The Weeknd seems to be stronger than ever, many were wondering if the song was about him, and in a new interview Gomez might have accidentally revealed who the song is actually about.
Talking with Miami radio station Power 96, Gomez admitted that she actually wrote the song almost one year ago, explaining, “It’s that feeling when you’re obsessed with someone, when you first initially, I always say the ‘honeymoon stage,’ and I’m a sucker for that feeling.” The “Bad Liar” that Gomez is referring to is herself, since she’s terrible at keeping her feelings in check.
“It’s just what I’m feeling at this exact moment, and I don’t know how to play it cool. I’m not that girl,” she added. But who is the song about? Gomez and The Weeknd didn’t start dating until January of this year but met back in late 2015, meaning that it’s highly probable that the singer was talking about her now-boyfriend.
Even though she hasn’t flat out said the song is about her beau, the timeline could add up, considering she had a mega crush on someone a year ago and then around six months later the two became an item.
