Selena Gomez’s Met Gala Bag Had a Sweet, Secret Message
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd were one of the most hotly anticipated red carpet couple debuts at the 2017 Met Gala, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. And while you were distracted by their adorable PDA, you might have missed a little detail that was hiding on the bottom of Gomez’s Coach bag.
The “It Ain’t Me” singer, who is the current face of Coach, wore the brand’s first custom evening gown and carried a matching bag. The brand posted a photo of the purse on Instagram with the caption, “@selenagomez’s #MetGala look details. Studded and inked with “love yourself first” — a nod to her tattoo.” The tattoo in question is the Arabic phrase Gomez has inked under her shoulder blade. The words, though in English, make a sweet addition to the purse.
And while love yourself first might be Gomez’s mantra, judging by the way she and The Weeknd couldn’t keep their hands off each other, we think loving her BF also falls pretty close to the top of that list ;)
