Selena Gomez Gushes Over ‘Big Sister’ Taylor Swift on Instagram
Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been friends for a decade and their special bond seems to only be getting stronger with time. Back in May, the “Bad Liar” songstress paid tribute to her BFF onstage during Swift’s Reputation tour, telling the crowd just how much the 28-year-old “changed [her] life.” And on Saturday, September 22, she was back at it again.
Taking to Instagram for an impromptu Live session, the usually private Gomez chatted with fans, answered questions, and gave a major shout-out to her “big sister,” Tay. “Taylor is awesome,” the 26-year-old gushed, telling her followers, “I love her. She’s amazing. I just talked to her today. She is literally like my big sister, I tell her everything.” She then added, “She is so smart, it freaks me out.”
Gomez, who recently revealed that she has been “downsizing her life” and has even taken on an internship, has gone through many ups and downs in recent years, but one constant has always been her bestie. The pair first met when they were each dating a Jonas brother back in 2008 (“It was the best thing we got out of those relationships,” Gomez has joked) and they clicked instantly.
Since then, they’ve supported each other’s careers, attended award shows together, celebrated each other’s birthdays, and the list goes on. All in all, they’ve never let each other down. Talk about #FriendshipGoals!
