Selena Gomez Will Appear in Woody Allen’s Upcoming Film and Fans Are NOT Happy
Working with Woody Allen is a controversial issue in Hollywood. Some actors have no problem teaming up with the director, who has been accused of (but never formally charged with) sexually abusing his adopted daughter, while others, such as Evan Rachel Wood, have taken a stand against him. Now, according to new reports, Selena Gomez will be appearing in Allen’s upcoming film, and her fans are NOT happy.
The currently unnamed project will also feature Elle Fanning (Maleficent, The Beguiled) and Timothée Chalamet (Homeland, Interstellar), but it’s Gomez’s reported casting news that has sparked the biggest backlash.
While Miley Cyrus and Justin Timberlake (along with plenty of other celebs) have also worked with the four-time Oscar winner, Gomez’s fans feel that it’s an awful move for her to make, especially since she’s such a role model to so many young people.
@selenagomez i love you girl, i really truly do but uh, let's NOT work with woody allen, let's just… not do that at all.

One way or another, it seems like Gomez is going to have to address the situation, because fans certainly want to hear the reason (or 13 reasons) why she’s made the decision to work with Allen.
