Atypical Season 2 (September 7): The critically acclaimed series about coming of age with autism is back for a second season, and the first trailer promises a continued heartfelt look at a perspective often lacking from mainstream media. All 10 episodes of Atypical season 2 will be available on Netflix on Friday, September 7. (Photo via Beth Dubber/Netflix)
Sierra Burgess Is a Loser (September 7):Stranger Things and Riverdale actress Shannon Purser makes her latest Netflix move, this time to a starring role in the teen rom-com Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. Purser plays the title character, who finds herself falling for a guy she's been communicating with via text and over the phone. The only problem? He thinks she's someone else — namely, popular cheerleader Veronica. The internet's newest boyfriend, Noah Centineo — AKA To All the Boys I've Loved Before's Peter Kavinsky — also stars. American Vandal Season 2 (September 14): Season 1 of the hit high school mockumentary series investigated a prankster who was spray-painting appendages on cars, and season 2 delves even deeper into bathroom humor — literally. Watch as Maldonado and Sam head to a private school to try to catch the Turd Burglar. And trust us, despite everything you just read, this show is somehow amazing. (Photo via Netflix)
The Land of Steady Habits (September 14): Ben Mendelsohn (who won an Emmy for his role in Netflix's Bloodline) stars as Anders, a man who leaves his job and his wife (Edie Falco) to start a new life free of the "steady habits" that he feels have been holding him back. Netflix has been on a roll with its more low-key romance and drama films, so we'll definitely be watching this one to see if they can keep up the winning streak. (Photo via Alison Rosa/Netflix)
Maniac (September 21):Emma Stone, Jonah Hill, Justin Theroux, and others star in the streaming service's highly anticipated Maniac, a wonderfully weird-looking dark comedy about a pharmaceutical trial gone awry. Stone's character calls it "some multi-reality brain magic sh*t" in the trailer, and we have to admit, we're intrigued. (Photo via Michele K. Short/Netflix)
Nappily Ever After (September 21): Sanaa Lathan plays a workaholic perfectionist who, in a moment of being fed up with her "other full-time job" — her hair — decides to shave her head. Based on the book of the same name by Trisha R. Thomas, the film is already being lauded for its celebration of natural hair and for portraying issues of identity and self-acceptance. The Good Cop Season 1 (September 21): We never knew we needed an odd-couple series starring Tony Danza and the surprisingly funny Josh Groban as a police officer father-and-son duo, but now it's all we can think about. Watch in curious fascination with us when it drops on Friday, September 21. (Photo via Michele K. Short/Netflix)
Made in Mexico Season 1 (September 28): Welcome to your new reality TV guilty pleasure. Made in Mexico follows Mexico City's social elite and the newcomers — such as an American food blogger and former Vogue editor — looking for a place in their extravagant lives. Yes. Please. (Photo via Netflix)
