This Ingredient Will Take Your Tacos to a Whole New Level
If you could have tacos on speed dial, you would in a heartbeat. Nothing beats biting into a damn good taco you’ll be having dreams about. But sometimes, the traditional taco can get boring, and you want to try something new. Well, look no further, because this taco recipe is perfect for those summer nights when you just want to drink a beer with your friends and play some board games. With a sprinkle of feta, radishes and a lot of lime, you will enjoy these tacos for the rest of the summer.
Ingredients:
Makes 4 tacos
Taco Meat:
— 1 pound shaved meat
— 1 teaspoon salt (or add to taste)
— 1/2 teaspoon cumin
— 1/2 teaspoon pepper
— 1/2 teaspoon paprika
— 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
— 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
— 1 whole lime
To Serve:
— 1 sliced radish
— large handful of arugula
— 5 ounces feta (or to taste)
— half of can of black beans
— corn tortillas
— 1/4 lime for each taco
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit for the corn tortillas.
2. Place steak in a bowl and add salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder and lime, and mix together with a pair of tongs or your hands. Pro Tip: Let it sit for 30 minutes before cooking.
3. Cook in a skillet over medium heat and continue to flip the meat around. After 2-3 minutes, lower the heat.
4. While the meat cooks, thinly slice radishes and cut into halves.
5. When the meat is almost done cooking (it should be fully browned when done), place the corn tortillas in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until warm.
6. After taking the corn tortillas out of the oven, add meat, radishes, arugula, beans and feta cheese on top of the tortillas.
7. Squeeze a quarter of a lime on each taco.
