No One Knows What Shay Mitchell’s New Tattoo Means
Tattoos are a definitely a form of self-expression — sometimes it’s a tribute for someone you love or for your favorite TV show, but ultimately, you might be the only one who knows why you chose that design. That’s exactly the case with Shay Mitchell’s latest body art — no one else is exactly sure what it means.
The Pretty Little Liars star was spotted on JonBoy’s Instagram with her new addition on Saturday, October 14. The New York-based tattoo artist captioned a snap of the two of them simply, “(vibes.)” Mitchell’s ink on her right wrist are the Roman numerals for the numbers 1, 4, and 3, but neither she nor the artist elaborate on the meaning. Though, not to date us or anything, but for anyone who grew up in the time of pagers, “143” was pager code for “I love you.”
Mitchell’s first and most recent tattoo was the letter “e.” on her pointer finger for her character Emily on Pretty Little Liars, which she got with her cast mates when the series wrapped. Mitchell revealed at the time she had been terrified of the pain, so whatever the significance behind this piece, it appears she’s over her phobia.
