10 Brands That Bring Minimalism to Plus-Size Fashion

In this past year alone, we've watched some of our favorite brands like J.Crew, Madewell, and Target expand their size offerings to cater to a larger and more inclusive group of women. While it's awesome to see more and more of the fashion world embrace size-inclusivity, it's not always easy finding plus-size clothing that focuses on clean designs for those of us who just aren't that into prints and patterns. But thanks to these 10 size-inclusive brands, we're starting to see a growing space for minimalist, plus-size fashion.
Van Der Nag: Berlin-based Van Der Nag is the go-to for achieving that clean and impossibly chic European aesthetic. Sleek pieces like this Bomber Coat ($466), are designed for longevity and to celebrate feminine minimalism.
Universal Standard:Universal Standard is on a mission to eliminate 'plus-size' with clothing that ranges from size 6-32, making this a truly universal shopping experience for women across the board. The online retailer has tees, tops, denim, and even loungewear, but it's the iconic Geneva Dress ($120) that started it all.
And Comfort: SF-based And Comfort is committed to producing high-quality everyday essentials, without chasing seasonal trends. The products are easy, comfortable, and stylish, like The Apron Dress ($135).
See Rose Go: The inspiration for See Rose Go came from a causal conversation the two co-founders had with a friend about the difficulty of shopping for her size 16 body. What followed was a brand that focuses on quality, fit, and style in sizes 14 to 24, with classic pieces like the reversible My Favorite Tee ($48).
Elizabeth Suzann: This brand is a perfect example of embracing size-inclusivity in a subtle, seamless way. The mission is to reduce waste by producing thoughtfully designed, long-lasting clothes, like the Harlow Dress ($265). The fact that the size range is from XXS to 4XL is just a given and not of particular focus for the brand.
Miranda Bennett Studio: This is a collection of modern, plant-dyed apparel with a brand emphasis on producing wearable, but also environmentally sustainable and ethical clothing. The gorgeous and comfy silk Palazzo Pant ($265) is a must have for your wardrobe.
Hackwith Design House: The HDH Plus collection has a great selection that goes up to a size 28. The pieces are minimal, without being boring, like this berry-colored Easy Pant ($165) with the lavender Balloon Sleeve Crew Bow Top ($205).
Mei Smith: This luxury retailer showcases exclusive collections from emerging brands for sizes 12+. The assortment is fairly limited and tends to sell out fast. You'll have to hurry for good quality finds like this Ilana Kohn Phoebe Shirt ($175).
MM. La Fleur: You've probably heard of MM. La Fleur and its designs aimed at revolutionizing workwear, but the brand also has an extensive plus-size line with polished and professional dresses, suits, and separates. The Larsen Shirt ($190) is a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down.
Soncy: Here you'll find fashionable and affordable pieces, from size 10 to size 30, with a good mix of trendy and minimal fashion. Everything on the site, including this Cute As A Button Double Breasted Dress ($78) is under $100.
