Thanksgiving brings a lot of truly amazing deals. However, with all the discount codes and flash sales, some smaller scale businesses tend to fall to the wayside. That’s why Small Business Saturday is such an amazing way to get a head start on holiday shopping and support local (and online) business owners. This year, we are supporting some of our favorite beauty brands that offer unique and natural formulas.
Cold Spring Apothecary Clarity Facial Oil ($45): One of our favorite things about small business beauty is the apothecary-like vibes so many of them boast — and this facial oil is the epitome of that. Inside its amber bottle is a blend of calendula, vitamin C, aspen bark, and Irish moss that work in unison to disinfect, soothe, soften, heal, and reduce redness and inflammation.
Flynn & King Replenish All-Over Dry Oil With Kukui Nut and Argan Oil ($65): This winter, skip the body lotion and reach for this softening body oil instead. With antioxidant-rich oils infused in vanilla beans, the formula touches the skin with a force of nourishment that hydrates and protects against environmental agers. The long-lasting, warm scent coupled with its ability to shield skin and promote a more youthful-looking appearance makes it a must-have for the season.
Kaya Soaps Turmeric Face Scrub ($8): We like our beauty ingredients where we can see them — in our cabinets. And, this face scrub is chock-full of them. Made with turmeric, oatmeal, chickpea flour, orange peel powder, azuki beans powder, and a to-die-for essential oil blend, the all-natural exfoliant helps lift away dry, dead skin cells and features anti-inflammatory, soothing, calming, and oil-controlling properties.
Drunk Coconut Intense Hydration ($20): Quench skin's thirst with this heavy-hitting moisture treatment. Designed to treat areas plagued with dryness — cuticles, hands, and heels, we're looking at you — the olive and coconut oil balm feels thick in the pot but melts upon touch for easy and effective nourishment. The formula features a beautiful citrus aroma blend of lemon, orange, and grapefruit essential oil, so your skin feels soft and your senses are satisfied.
Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant Stick ($20): What’s better than a natural deodorant that works? One that comes in biodegradable packaging! This eco-friendly deodorant features the powers (and invigorating scents) of essential oils combined with mineral powder in a formula that can keep your pits smelling fresh, clean, and totally under control. And, because we like options, it’s available in two aromas: lavender bergamot and lemon eucalyptus.
Luna + Quartz Rainbow Serum ($18): Formulated with a mix of watermelon seed, blueberry seed, and grapeseed oil, plus a host of hard-working essential oils (namely lemon, bergamot, and orange), this serum brightens, tones, and boosts collagen production over time. Its crystals work to deliver benefits too; rose quartz amps up circulation and blur fines lines, amethyst calms the complexion, citrine focuses on toning and brightening, and crystal quartz heals.
One Over One Free Foam Micellar Cleanser ($34): We love this all-natural micellar water in particular for its foaming formula. Yerba mate, elderflower, kelp, and rosehip extract all enhance the cleanser with their brightening, soothing, hydrating, and free radical-fighting properties, ensuring that skin will be not only cleansed but also boosted.
Fat and the Moon Lip & Cheek Stain ($12): The best thing about a lip and cheek stain is the way it gives the complexion a natural-looking rosiness in just a few taps. This multi-tasking stain delivers a gorgeous pigment to the skin and, since it's formulated with rose geranium essential oil, it provides an array of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits to boot.
Crop Natural Hydrating Aloe Vera Mask ($36): This stellar moisture mask features all of the soothing, hydrating, and restoring goodness of aloe vera with help from other botanicals like camomille, marigold, and vitamin E. Post-application, skin feels calmer, firmer, and more hydrated with a sought-after natural glow.
