Sneakers and Speakers Together At Last?
Are you ready for the newest way to rock out? Who needs a JammyPack, Jambox, BoomBottle, or any of these portable wireless speakers when you can be rocking the dance party right on your sneaks?
Designed by Ray Kingston, the Sneaker Speaker is a pair of wireless speakers that strap right onto your sneakers. They combine the Bluetooth awesomeness of all of our favorite wireless speakers, the power of a 9V battery you can find just about anywhere, and the adjustability of a solid set of headphones. But let’s get to the blueprints so you can really see what’s going on.
You’ve got a stereo input and AC-adapter port if you want to use them as independent speakers (i.e. not connected to your shoes), a Bluetooth connection for syncing with your phone or iPod, and a battery that’s easy to replace when you’ve run out of charge.
You can choose to use one or two straps, which are adjustable in several positions and sizes to fit snugly around your shoe.
While these are definitely an awesome take on whistle-while-you-work, it’s easy to imagine them being pretty annoying to outsiders if worn while commuting, shopping, or in any public place. And it’s hard to imagine the sound quality would be that good while you’re walking around. That being said, we can’t wait to try these out. If only we could daisy chain them with our Jammypack… ;)
