This Is Why Sofia Vergara Won’t Be Having Bridesmaids at Her Wedding

Ever since Joe Manganiello proposed to Sofia Vergara late last year (in the cutest way ever BTW), we’ve been itching to get some more details about the wedding. We know that she’ll be sporting a custom fragrance for the event, but that’s about it. Will they have a destination wedding in Colombia or a secret ceremony like all the other celebs who’ve tied the knot recently? Both of those questions remain unanswered but during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! she did reveal a few things about her upcoming nuptials.
Unsurprisingly, she told Jimmy that the wedding would be pretty large (like, 400 people large). She also mentioned one traditional element of the ceremony that would be missing: bridesmaids. Vergara explained to Jimmy, “It would be torture. I don’t think that tradition would have lasted one second in Latin America. How do you pick your bridesmaids? All your cousins are your best friends, and then the whole wedding would be dressed in the same outfit.”
Sofia, we totally get it but please excuse us while we mourn the loss of all those hilarious bridal party pics that we imagine would no doubt look like a scene straight out of Bridesmaids.
