She’s always changing her look! Solange Knowles debuted her new platinum blonde hair last month. Now, the singer just added a brand new tattoo to her body art collection, and we’re starry-eyed.
Knowles showed off a pretty new constellation tattoo to her inner arm, and the celestial design is truly out of this world. The “A Seat at the Table” singer chronicled some of the process on her Instagram Stories, and the new tat was created by created by Kevin King at Bang Bang Tattoos in New York City.
While we’re not sure exactly what this piece means, we’re sure its design, just like her other ones, holds a special significance for the singer. In 2008, she told The Guardian that the matching tattoos of angel wings and stars represent the beauty of the circle of life, revealing, “They mean when one life goes, one life comes. One of my friends passed away — and the next thing I knew, I was pregnant. So I was just having lots of thoughts about reincarnation.”
And it’s not the only change to her look she’s debuting. While hosting the first-ever Surface Travel Awards at Hotel Americano in New York City on Wednesday, October 4, she also showed off her newly cropped, platinum blonde curls, which are a definite departure from the blonde braids and twists as of a few weeks ago. She looked flawless in a metallic orange caped gown by Helmut Lang by Shane Oliver, which she paired with black Christian Louboutin sandals and Laruicci hoop earrings.
