Nasty Gal’s #GirlBoss Founder Rocked a Wedding Gown You Never Thought She’d Wear
Sophia Amoruso, founder + owner of the unapologetically edgy fashion brand, Nasty Gal, was recently married and debuted her surprisingly classic wedding dress on her Insta (which should be your go-to spot for bridal inspo) and we can’t get enough of her unexpectedly traditional take on bridal style. We would have put money down on betting Sophia’s bridal style would mirror the crazy-offbeat vibe her brand is known for, like wearing an in-your-face colored dress, studded veil and bold colored, show-stopping stilettos. Still, we’re loving the small details that made her wedding look unique while still having that classic vibe. Who woulda thunk it?!
The fashionable #girlboss debuted her look in a (10 page!) spread in Martha Weddings. She opted for a really interesting texture on what appears to be the bulk of her stark-white, full wedding dress — we love that it’s not your typical lace, but still toes the line between being unexpected yet timeless (another shocker). At the same time, what else would you expect from someone who’s known for creating trend-setting fashion?
Long, white gloves added a touch of old glamour to Sophia’s elegant bridal look, while her veil looked stunning against her dark hair, which she chose to wear in a relatively no-fuss style. She donned a middle part and kept her locks looking natural and healthy without being overly styled. We are all about being edgy and trend-setting, but it’s really sweet to see Sophia valuing a slightly more uniform bridal look we all are familiar with. Really, what’s not to love about her wedding day look?
