Unleash Your Inner Superhero With This Fierce Spider-Girl Costume
We love a strong leading lady so this female take on a Marvel classic is right up our alley. Our version of the Spider-Girl costume includes fierce makeup and a sleek red bodysuit. (Oh yeah, and the chance to put your spidey senses to the test too.) If that all sounds thrilling, take a look below to see how to put together this Halloween costume that’ll get you noticed wherever you go.
For a superhuman look, pair a metallic unitard ($33) under a basic red turtleneck bodysuit ($18+). Obvi, the web detailing is v. essential to your getup, so some simple drawings with a wide-tipped Sharpie ($8) will do the trick.
Once you have your design down, accessorize your outfit with fingerless gloves ($8) and your comfiest sneakers so you’re ready for the quick dashes you’ll take to fight crime. Play to your feminine side with a set of flashy fringe earrings ($9).
Of course, superheroes need a face full of confidence too. For makeup, apply blue eyeshadow to draw lines that pop out from the corners of your eyes. (Pro tip: Variations of blue can be used to add dimension.) Add a half strip of false lashes to the lower outside corners of your lash line for drama, and finish with bright red lipstick.
