This Bus Wants to Transform Your Daily Commute into a Spin Class
If you’re one of those people who just can’t seem to find time to workout, we get it. Between a full-time job and that busy social calendar, it’s not ideal to turn down a happy hour invite in favor of some time on the treadmill. But if you’re really trying to figure out a way to do all three (work, play AND exercise), we’ve got a solution that won’t actually take up any extra time in your day. Introducing the 1Rebel’s new spin bus.
UK-based boutique fitness studio 1Rebel has announced plans to transform a London bus into a mobile spin class (insert “Wheels on the Bus” pun here). They’re calling this new project Ride 2 Rebel. The innovative class will offer four centrally located pick-up points. Hop onboard and trade that crowded tube ride for a spot on a bike.
The fitness brand is currently working with WMOR architects to create this bus but — according to Mashable — is still working on getting the sign off from the UK government. When approved, mobile classes should start later this year (ideally in the summer). The early morning spin class is slated to be 45 minutes long and finish at the centrally located 1Rebel studio. Upon arrival, riders can shower and enjoy a smoothie before heading off to the office.
If you’re a London dweller itching to try out this new class, we recommend adding yourself to the 1,000+ person waitlist ASAP. In the meantime, we also have a novel suggestion that’ll also save you $20 (the cost of a ride): Ride your bike to work! You know, just an idea ;)
