Scare Up These Spooky Monster Cupcakes for Halloween

– 1 box chocolate cake mix– 3 eggs
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil
– 1 1/2 cups water
– 2 12-oz containers fluffy white frosting
– cloud white decorating icing
– black sparkle gel
– candy eyeballs
– white fondant
– Oreos
– black licorice
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, oil and water. Divide the batter among 24 cupcake liners. Bake 18 minutes. Let cool.
2. To make the mummy cupcakes, use the decorating icing to pipe long bands across your cupcake. Pipe two triangles in the center of the cupcake with black gel. Place a candy eyeball on top of each triangle.
3. To make the ghost cupcakes, roll out a ball of white fondant. Cut into 4-inch rounds. Place a piece of round candy (or a small marshmallow) on top of your cupcake. Drape a fondant round over the candy. Pipe eyes onto your ghost with black gel.
4. To make the Jack Skellington cupcakes, frost your cupcake with fluffy white frosting. Use the black gel to pipe two large eyes. Next, pipe on two short lines for a nose. Finally, pipe a long line across the bottom of your cupcake for a mouth. Add icing barbs to make his ghoulish grin.
5. To make the spider cupcakes, frost your cupcake with fluffy white frosting. Cut your licorice into 1 1/2-inch pieces to make spider legs. Twist open your Oreo and press 4 “legs” into the filling on each side of the cookie. Replace the top of the Oreo. With frosting, attach two eyes on top of each cookie. Place your spider on top of your cupcake.
