#SquadHairGoals: Curly Hair Deep Side Part

#SquadHairGoals: Curly Hair Deep Side Part

Oh hey, cute stuff! We hope you’re liking our new #SquadHairGoals series! Last week’s 3D Crown Braid was dope, and we can’t wait to share today’s style with you. For our fine friends rocking major curls, this one is just for you, because this hack works especially well with textured hair. So without delay, don this deep side part curly hair hack to get out the door fast and fabulous!

And be sure to check out our sassy installment next week for more of this season’s ultimate #squadhairgoals.

STEP 1: CREATE A DEEP PART

Use the end of a rat-tail comb (or just your fingers if you’re that skilled) to create a deep side part. We’re all about the side part, because it’s an instant statement — just switching up your part can really change your look in seconds. Gotta love that #lazygirl life!

STEP 2: SLEEK THINGS UP

Next, use a serum like SilkWorks Smooth Serum ($6) to smooth out your part. This step eliminates pesky frizz and tames baby hairs.

STEP 3: PIN SECTIONS BACK

Next, pull the fuller side of your hair back and separate into two sections (top and bottom). Pin the top section first, then the bottom section, as demonstrated in the images above and below.

Pull the bottom section upward to finish off the look. We opted to leave a little hair hanging down for balance, but you can pin the whole side back for an even more dramatic nighttime look.

BAM! You’re done! Now the only thing left to do is look fly and snap some photos for Insta. We’re so in love — this style is just everything, don’t ya think? Stay tuned for next week’s #SquadHairGoals. You’re not gonna want to miss it, we promise!
