The World’s Biggest Date Is Happening at Starbucks This Week
Valentine’s Day can feel like a lot of pressure when you’ve just started dating someone. Do you buy a gift? Is a big, fancy dinner too much, too fast? So many questions, which is why the perfect date is a coffee date. In fact, according to Match.com, more than three million users list “coffee and conversation” as one of their interests. And on February 13, Starbucks is making it easier than ever to avoid awkward V-Day plans by hosting the “World’s Largest #StarbucksDate.”
After 2pm on Friday, participating Starbucks will be providing romantic mood music, props for an impromptu photo booth and a pairing menu matching your favorite bakery treats with the perfect coffee. Who can say no to a flat white and a chocolate croissant? But even if you’re dateless this year, Starbucks has partnered up with Match.com to make sure you’ve got a Valentine next year.
If you’re looking for real love, it’s probably time to put Tindr aside and get to work on your Match.com profile, especially now that the old standard has made it easier than ever to plan no-pressure, non-creepy Starbucks dates. The site recently incorporated a new feature called “Meet at Starbucks.” With the click of a button, you can send an email to someone who catches your eye. That email asks them if they’d like to meet you at Starbucks and even provides a handy map that lets you find the most convenient location. Match members who really, like really, love their Starbucks can even add a badge to their profile showing their brand love. Hundreds of thousands of members have already done this… just in case Starbucks loyalty is one of your must-haves in a perfect mate.
Have you used the “Meet at Starbucks” feature on Match, or do you know someone who has? Tell us all about it in the comments!
