Starbucks Is Launching a New Nitrogen-Infused Cold Brew Coffee
This summer is turning out to be an (awesome) overload of Starbucks innovations and deliciousness. From their uber-yummy Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino to the return of their S’mores Frappuccino to hacking our way to a Key Lime Pie Frappuccino, all while enjoying our fave mini-sized fraps — oh yeah, it’s gonna be a good summer! And just to top things off, now Starbucks is taking things to an entirely new level with their cold brewed coffees, including a nitrogen-infused drink. NITRO COFFEE!
Launching two new flavors for cold coffee connoisseurs, the first of the two is the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew. House-made cream floats on top, with the sweetness trickling down into the drink, creating a masterful cold brew coffee as lovely as it is yummy.
If you’ve ever appreciated the sight of a Guinness being poured into a tall glass, then you’ll love the look of Starbucks’ Nitro Cold Brew. Mimicking a pub’s offering with a small chilled keg, the cold brew is delivered straight from the tap while being infused with nitrogen. Starbucks’ Anthony Carroll explains that the nitrogen “unlocks the super-smooth, natural sweetness of the Cold Brew coffee, which then cascades from the tap with a velvety texture you can see and taste.”
If you’ve already grabbed your wallet and are about to run to the nearest Starbucks, you’ll need to know that, although the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew is available across the country, the Nitro Cold Brew is currently offered at select Starbucks stores in Seattle. But don’t worry, it will be offered in more stores throughout the summer. So keep your eyes peeled!
Looks like we have a sweet (cold brewed) summer ahead of us, Starbucks lovers!
