Watch the Action-Packed First Trailer for the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spinoff ‘Station 19’
We’ve seen sneak peeks in pictures and gotten some behind-the-scenes info, and now, the first official look at the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Station 19 in action is finally here!
In the first trailer, we’re introduced to the firefighters who make up Station 19, just three blocks away from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The firehouse family ranges from brand-new recruits to seasoned vets, all putting their own lives at risk in the line of duty.
The two-minute trailer doesn’t waste anytime getting into it: We see workplace dynamics, budding steamy romances, family drama, death-defying stunts, fiery explosions, and even a badass Meredith Grey cameo (which isn’t surprising, given that the show is an extension of the existing Grey’s universe — and that Ellen Pompeo is an executive producer on the show).
We also, of course, get to see a familiar face in Jason George (AKA Ben Warren) as he makes the transition from the hospital to the firehouse in his new career as a firefighter (how that ties into Dr. Bailey’s unfolding storyline on Grey’s remains to be seen).
Already, we can tell that show creator Shonda Rhimes has given us another female lead to look up to in Jaina Lee Ortiz, who plays Andy Herrera, the firehouse captain’s daughter. When she steps up to be a leader for her team in the final seconds of the trailer, it’s a total goosebumps moment.
Station 19 premieres on March 22 at 9pm ET on ABC’s TGIT lineup. Can’t wait!
