Video: DIY Stenciled Polka Dot Tote
Hi, I'm Brit, the founder and CEO of Brit + Co. I'm a young mom of two, tech nerd and design-inclined lady who has a zillion hobbies and curious about... just about everything! My mission from the beginning has been to unlock women's creativity and courage to try new things so that they can find the path to their true passions.
Last week, we teamed up with Target to show you how to add studs to a basic envelope clutch. Today, we’re all about going dotty for polka dots!
We took a plain old canvas tote, created a bubble-inspired pattern using stencils (found at Target) and painted with Tulip fabric paint. It’s easy as pie, and is a great way to personalize your go-to beach tote this summer. Check out the video above to see how it’s done, and be sure to follow Target’s #SummerUp Pinterest board for more ways to pep up your summer.
You can use stencils and fabric paint or dye to breathe new life into all sorts of basics in the style department.
What other everyday accessories would you like to try updating with stencils, paint, and fabric dye? Tell us in the comments below!
