Steve Madden’s 7-Year-Old Daughter Just Launched a Target Shoe Line You’ll Want
We’re constantly in awe of everything 19-year-old Tavi Gevinson has accomplished at such a young age, but it’s looking like she may have some competition from another child prodigy. Stevie Madden, daughter of iconic shoe designer Steve Madden (that’s confusing, we know) is currently working on a shoe collection for Target.
The 7-year-old, who no doubt has been shadowing her dad at work ever since she could say “sneaker wedges,” is Target’s youngest partner to date. J.Crew has them beat by a few years with their capsule collection designed with 4-year-old Mayhem. Priced from $22 to $37, the kids’ line will offer 30 different shoe styles, all of which take playground fashion to a whole new level. Expect to find styles like biker-inspired boots, hot pink flats with a giant heart on top, sweet cowgirl boots and a half glitter/half leopard bootie.
The shoes will be available in sizes 13 to 6, and each shoe comes with a hashtag-inspired name like “#TEXTME,” “#PLAYDATE” and “#GIRLPOWER.” We’re really hoping Stevie has a custom pair she’s named “#GIRLBOSS.” If you want to win the mom-of-the-year award (or be the coolest aunt ever), be sure to duck into a Target on July 19th when the festive kicks go on sale.
In a charming video interview, Stevie tells the camera that she would wear the leopard print booties “on a playdate” (because, you know, she’s seven) and when she hits up Target with her folks she likes “getting clothes and candy.” Don’t we all, Stevie. Don’t we all.
