Buffalo chickpea pizza, anyone? She's also been known to eat a plain block of tofu or beans straight out of the can for lunch, but somehow those culinary adventures don't make it to her Instagram. Vegan eggnog may sound like an oxymoron, but you can buy non-dairy, non-egg versions in stores these days that more than rival the classic kind. Whether you prefer almond, coconut, or soy milk, choose from one of these sweetly spiced nogs.
SoDelicious Coconut Holiday Nog ($3): Just a simple touch of nutmeg is all it takes to transform this creamy coconut milk beverage into a seasonal favorite. Simmer it with cinnamon sticks and a clove or two if you want to infuse it with even more flavor.
Good Karma Flaxmilk Holiday Nog ($3): Soy, nut, and dairy allergy-sufferers rejoice! Good Karma's holiday nog is made with flax milk, so all can enjoy its holiday-spiced glory.
Good Karma Pumpkin Spice Nog ($3): Holiday nog is even more scrumptious when it's infused with plenty of pumpkin. Proceeds from each carton go to the non-profit group Denver Metro Caring.
Trader Joe's Almond Nog ($3): Gluten-free, made without corn syrup, and vegan, Trader Joe's seasonally available almond nog is one of our favorites.
Silk Nog Original ($3): Silk soymilk is already rich and creamy, which makes it a more than suitable base for vegan eggnog. It's also free of artificial flavors and colors, which is always a plus in our book.
Califia Farms Almondmilk Holiday Nog ($5): Dairy-free and soy-free, Califia's holiday nog is made with almond milk that's sweetened and spiced with ginger and nutmeg. This is hands-down our fave nog and is even approved by non-vegan members of our family. Try it over ice and with a splash of bourbon.
Rice Dream Rice Nog ($7): A little lighter in texture than most nogs, Rice Dream works on its own or as a milk substitute in your favorite vegan holiday baking recipes.
