Stranger Things’ New Season 2 Trailer Has the PERFECT Foreshadowing Music
After getting our first sneak peek at the upcoming season of Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things during the Super Bowl in February, we were pretty excited. When we got a second sneak peek of the Duffer Brothers hit, we started to get scared. Now, the show has released a full trailer for season two — and we’re both excited and scared, not to mention THRILLED by the music choice.
The trailer uses Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” opening rap recited by horror legend Vincent Price. As it plays throughout the background, the lyrics seem to fit perfectly with everything we see — Will’s ability to move between the real world and the Upside Down, the bloody prints from the monster, and Eleven’s return to the real world.
“Darkness falls across the land / The midnight hour is close at hand / Creatures crawl in search of blood / To terrorize y’all’s neighborhood / And whosoever shall be found / Without the soul for getting down / Must stand and face the hounds of hell / And rot inside a corpse’s shell / The foulest stench is in the air / The funk of forty thousand years / And grizzly ghouls from every tomb / Are closing in to seal your doom / And though you fight to stay alive / Your body starts to shiver / For no mere mortal can resist / The evil of the thriller.”
If that’s not major foreshadowing for season two, we don’t know what is!
