We’re Obsessed With This Fun and Functional Furniture
Whether it’s an IKEA hack or a tip on how to upgrade your pad without leaving a dent in your rental, we’re big fans of multi-use products. And our latest find Stripe, a multifunctional box designed by Natali Ristovska and Miki Stefanoski, has endless possibilities that tops our must-have furniture list right now.
The two designers created Stripe to allow people to design furniture for their own use. In one position, the piece is a table. Flip it over, and you have a storage container. Stack the pieces up… a bookshelf! Grab a bunch, and you’ll have an entire shelving solution to use anywhere in your home.
We love the minimalist, simple design of these boxes. We’re also diggin’ the color scheme, too, although a quick DIY could transform Stripe into a functional pop of color with a little paint and some creativity. Plus, the pieces are modular and easy to pick up, so rearranging and creating something new is always a possibility.
Stripe is currently traveling as part of the Young Balkan Designers 2014 exhibition that selected only 20 projects out of 222 entries. Sadly, this brilliant idea is not yet available for purchase, but we’re hoping it hits the market soon (obvi we’ll keep you posted!). In the meantime, we’re totally inspired to repurpose a few of our own pieces of furniture this week.
Would you purchase Stripe for your home? What other functional pieces of furniture do you love? Share with us in the comments below!
